Learn how coffee flavor really works
Different types of coffee beans
Zip lines for some, coffee planation for others, under one roof
This guided coffee tasting experience takes place at Kotowa’s coffee estate in Boquete and focuses on understanding how great coffee is made and how to taste it properly.
The visit begins with a walk through the coffee plantation, where you’ll learn how coffee is grown and harvested. This portion involves walking outdoors, so a basic level of physical fitness is required.
You’ll then learn how flavors like nuts, fruits, and floral notes develop in the coffee bean, how processing and roasting affect taste, and how professionals evaluate coffee quality. The tasting itself is educational, relaxed, and well-structured — not a rushed tour.
The experience includes a seated tasting of nine (9) different Kotowa coffees, many of them award-winning, led by trained guides.
This is ideal for coffee lovers, curious travelers, and anyone who wants a deeper appreciation for Panamanian coffee.
